The number VIN (vehicle identification number) is the serial number of the car. It can be found in the E line on the registration certificate.

It is similar to the number engraved on the car's chassis. Each manufacturer must assign a car identification number (VIN code) to each car it produces. The VIN code is also called the NSV (Vehicle Serial Number) code. The VIN code consists of a series of 17 characters.

The VIN code is formed from the WMI manufacturer code, which is the first three characters. Then the VDS code which includes 8 characters and the last 6 characters correspond to an internal manufacturer number.
